Kalmar, a subsidiary of cargo handling machinery maker Cargotec, received an order from the container terminal operator for 27 straddle carriers.
Cargo handling machinery maker Cargotec’s subsidiary Kalmar received an order for 27 straddle carriers from container terminal operator Maher Terminals LLC in Elizabeth, N.J., Cargotec said.
The order for the ERC350 diesel-electric straddle carriers has been booked into Cargotec’s 2015 third quarter intake. Deliveries are expected to be completed in the Spring of 2016 and the straddle carriers will arrive fully erected.
The straddle carriers are rated to handle 50 metric tons with twin 20 feet containers or 40 metric tons with single containers.
