The Massachusetts Port Authority has promoted Lisa Wieland from acting port director to port director.

The Massachusetts Port Authority has promoted Lisa Wieland from acting port director to port director.
“With a number of key projects happening around the Port of Boston, Lisa’s organization and determined leadership have played a major role in making the cruise and cargo operations successful, as well as other Maritime properties,” said Massport Chief Executive Officer Tom Glynn in a statement.”
The port authority attributed Wieland’s leadership to the rise in cargo volume last year at the Conley Container Terminal.
Wieland has served as acting port director since March 2015 and previously as the Maritime department’s chief administrative officer. Before joining the Maritime team, she held several roles at Massport, including director of human resources strategy and employment and director of corporate planning and analysis. Wieland joined the port authority in 2006.
Prior to that, she worked as a consultant for Bain & Co. and CNN in various news roles.
