Matson Logistics launches new LCL service from China to New York

The less-than-container-load service will receive freight in Shanghai, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Xiamen.

    Matson Logistics Supply Chain Services will expand its less-than-container-load (LCL) capabilities by offering a direct fast transit service from China to the New York and New Jersey markets, the company said.
   The LCL service will use ships deployed in Matson’s China-Long Beach Express (CLX) loop.
    Matson will receive LCL freight in Shanghai, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Xiamen.
    Weekly Matson sailings from Shanghai will offer transits to the New York/New Jersey area in 14 days with cargo availability Thursday afternoons from a container freight station in Elizabeth, N.J.
