Medstr÷ms scoops up Intercontainer shares
Stockholm-based investment firm Medstr'ms Invest AB has acquired all outstanding shares in Intercontainer Scandinavia AB.
Closing is scheduled for the end of December. All staff will be retained at their current terms and the shuttle network within Sweden remains unchanged, the company said.
Based in Gothenburg, Intercontainer Scandinavia was founded in 1993 as a subsidiary of Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA. The company's goal was to develop the intermodal market in Sweden. Today, the company offers 49 connections per week between 10 terminals in southern and central Sweden. It also offers links to Germany and other parts of Europe, which are under development.
