Menlo Freight Brokerage expands in Eastern Europe

Menlo Logistics’ Freight Brokerage has opened a second European office in Prague.

Menlo Freight Brokerage, a transportation service that is part of Menlo Logistics’ third-party warehousing and supply chain management services in Europe, has opened a second European office in Prague.
The office extends the company’s European services to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Romania and Russia. The Prague location will work in coordination with its existing operations in Amsterdam, which Menlo started in 2013.
“In establishing Menlo Freight Brokerage in Europe, we have adopted best practices from our North American colleagues, where it is branded Con-way Multimodal, and combined those with our Lean tools and a team of European transport specialists to create a unique service offering for European shippers,” Tony Gunn, Menlo’s managing director, explained in a statement. “The concept is different from the historically well-known practice in Europe: freight forwarding, or the expedition model. Brokerage has greater flexibility and operates with a wider supplier portfolio, creating better purchasing power and worldwide coverage.”
