Menlo wins Jabil Circuit contract
Menlo Worldwide on Monday said it has signed an agreement with Jabil Circuit Inc., a global electronic products services company, to provide third-party logistics services in support of Jabil’s global supply chain and U.S.-based assembly and fulfillment operations.
The contract calls for Menlo to provide services including: establishment of a warehouse facility and management of the receipt, storage and staging of inventory for Jabil’s U.S. assembly operations in Memphis; and receiving and managing fulfillment of orders for parts, components and semi-finished goods for delivery to Jabil’s customer’s plants, which then assemble components into finished goods for end-use customers.
“We’re pleased to be able to extend and deepen our relationship with Jabil Circuit,” Robert L. Bianco, president of Menlo Worldwide, said in a statement. He also noted that the company supports Jabil’s manufacturing operations in Guadalajara, Mexico and Singapore.
Menlo is providing a 150,000-square-foot facility, as well as racking and storage equipment, warehouse operations personnel, inventory management processes and systems, transportation management and logistics services.
The assignment supports Jabil’s supply chain and manufacturing operations by providing dedicated warehouse and inventory control resources that can be deployed rapidly and can “flex” with cyclical production and customer demand, said John Novotny, Jabil’s director of global logistics.
