Vitti Logistics has chosen to use MacroPoint’s freight-tracking software to connect with carriers and track loads across North America.
Mexico-based Vitti Logistics is now using freight tracking software provider MacroPoint to connect with carriers and track domestic loads in Mexico and the United States, along with inbound and outbound cross-border shipments between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada, MacroPoint said Tuesday.
As a non-asset based third-party logistics company, Vitti Logistics works with multiple carriers under contract, and in the company’s asset-based operation, it specializes in providing time-critical delivery services, Vitti Logistics Managing Partner Antonio Luna said.
Vitti Logistics believes that by using MacroPoint, the company will be able to increase the number of loads its employees can handle and improve customer satisfaction, Luna said.
“We were looking for a strategic partner to have load location and status updates in one place, covering all units that are transporting our customers’ freight,” Luna said. “From the beginning, MacroPoint was able to provide tracking for our Mexican and U.S. carriers with automatic alerts and an integration with our TMS.”
Cleveland-based MacroPoint, which was established in 2011, provides real-time load location visibility by using any cell phone, in-cab ELD/GPS device, or trailer and container tracking system. Over one million drivers are currently part of the MacroPoint carrier visibility network.
