The global third-party logistics provider purchased certain assets in Alfa Logistics and Kronos Logistics.
Global third-party logistics provider MIQ Logistics purchased certain assets in Miami, Fla.-based Alfa Logistics and Bogota, Colombia-based Kronos Logistics effective December 2015, allowing MIQ Logistics to expand its service offering in the Latin America region, according to a statement from the company.
Financial terms of the deal and details of the acquired assets were not disclosed.
Management teams at both Alfa Logistics and Kronos Logistics will remain in place, MIQ Logistics President and CEO John Carr said.
“Both organizations provide global integrated logistics and essential supply chain solutions,” MIQ Logistics said. “In particular, they are recognized for their agile and effective import and export operations from and to the robust and growing Central and South America region.”
Headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., MIQ Logistics has offices in North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
