MiX Telematrics boosts trailer tracking

MiX Telematics, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based provider of vehicle tracking and fleet management solutions, launched its Asset Tracking 1300 series, an online trailer tracking and monitoring service for fleet managers.
The MiX Asset Tracking 1300 series helps identify the location of moving and static high-value and high-risk trailers at all times.
“With a simple installation of our Trailer Tracking unit, a fleet manager can view a trailer’s location, as well as its status including movement and event reports, as well as trip information,” said Ken Creager, MiX Telematics’ North America president and chief executive officer. “The benefit of knowing the location and status of every trailer provides important peace-of-mind to fleet managers who operate high value and high risk loads.”
The MiX Asset Tracking 1300 series features the choice of a wired or wireless trailer tracking unit that does not require a connection to an on-board computer and can be installed on trailers with or without a permanent power source. Trailer tracking is also accessible to fleet managers via MiX Fleet Mobile.
