MOL SETS UP STRATEGIC PLANNING UNIT
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has set up a strategic business planning department at its headquarters in Tokyo as part of a restructuring of the group’s corporate planning division.
Effective from June 27, the corporate planning division will have two departments: one looking after strategic business planning and the other responsible for combined group planning.
“Group-wide management strategies are one of the most important parts of our ‘Mitsui O.S.K. Lines’ Strategy Towards 21′ project,” the Japanese group said.
MOL said that it needs to “constantly investigate the potential of new business fields,” to take advantage of the rapid changes in the business environment, especially those brought about by technological innovations.
The new strategic business planning department will promote all of the company’s new businesses, the group said.
