MORGAN NAMED WORLD AIRWAYS PRESIDENT, COO
Andrew Gilbert Morgan Jr. has been named president and chief operating
officer of World Airways. Hollis Harris, who was appointed chairman,
president and chief executive officer in April, will continue to serve as
chairman and CEO.
Morgan is a veteran of Delta Airlines, serving as regional director and
general manager for properties and facilities since February 1998. In
between stints at Delta, He held executive positions with AirTran Airlines
from 1993 to 1998.
Herndon, Va.-based World operates a fleet of 12 MD-11 and DC-10-30 aircraft.
