Rotterdam’s ECT Delta Terminal received three more post panamax ship-to-shore cranes able to handle vessels over 20,000 TEUs.

ECT Delta Terminal at the Port of Rotterdam today received three post panamax ship-to-shore cranes, which have the ability to handle vessels over 20,000 TEUs, Europe Container Terminals said in a statement.
The cranes, which had over a two month long voyage from Shanghai, have a lifting height of 50 meters under the spreader and a reach of 24 containers wide. Crane operators are able to control the cranes remotely from the office.
Last year, the ECT Delta Terminal commissioned five of the post-panamax cranes to prepare for handling vessels with capacity for 20,000 TEUs.
