New executive lineup for Menlo in Europe
Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc., said Thursday it has made several new executive appointments in Europe.
Arthur van Gerven has been appointed senior director of business development and key account management. Van Gerven will lead the expansion of Menlo's customer base in Europe with the portfolio of third-party logistics, transportation management and 4PL services. In his previous position, van Gerven was director of operations for a number of European operations.
Andre de Jong will take over responsibility for Menlo's biggest multiuser site in Europe, located in Eersel, The Netherlands. The 35,000-square-meter warehouse and distribution center provides services to multiple customers in different industries, including apparel, footwear, health care and high tech.
Bas Schoone will take charge of Menlo's operations in Central Europe (Germany, Czech Republic and Hungary) and a high-tech site at the port of Rotterdam. Marco van Walraven, based in Amsterdam, will be responsible for locations across the Benelux, U.K. and Ireland regions, specifically in the high-tech industry sector.
