New India, Persian Gulf and East Africa service starts

Evergreen Line will team up with Hanjin and Simatech to launch a new service linking the Indian Subcontinent, Persian Gulf and East Africa from late March.
Four 2,500-2,800 TEU vessels will be deployed on the joint “IDEA” service. The first sailing is planned from Mundra (Northwest India) on March 26.
The port rotation for the weekly service will be Mundra, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, and Mundra.
Evergreen has operated an Asia-East Africa (AEF) service with weekly sailings since in May 2010, and said the addition of the IDEA service will enhance its network reach and market presence in the region. – Chris Dupin
