Hillwood Properties is adding on to its 17,000-acre master-planned complex AllianceTexas, building the 1.2-million-square-foot industrial speculation property Alliance Center North 1 as part of the Fort Worth development’s 650-acre industrial development.
At full buildout, Alliance Center North will span 9 million square feet of industrial space.
Project design is currently underway, and Hillwood expects to break ground this summer. The project is in line with Hillwood’s other speculative developments at AllianceTexas, which typically average 1 million square feet of industrial space annually. The company has only developed 40 percent of the entire project so far.
“Recently, Hillwood has seen a major rebound in the industrial market, and we’re at a point where demand is beginning to exceed the available space that we have on the ground,” Mike Berry, president of Hillwood Properties, said in a statement. “This spec industrial building will give us a competitive site selection advantage under current market conditions, while Alliance Center North will provide future AllianceTexas corporate residents with direct access to the Alliance Global Logistics Hub, which includes the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Intermodal Facility, Fort Worth Alliance Airport and Interstate 35W.” – Jon Ross
