The Gothenburg, Sweden-based rail operator SCT Transport AB will commence a new container rail shuttle between the Port of Gothenburg and Katrineholm.
SCT Transport AB will launch a new container rail shuttle between the Port of Gothenburg and Katrineholm, Sweden, located 177 miles northeast of Gothenburg, in January.
Initially, the service will operate three days a week, however the goal is to increase the number of departures during the spring and eventually make it a daily service, the Port of Gothenburg said.
The new rail shuttle will run through the Port of Gothenburg’s APM Terminal, which allows freight to be quickly transferred from rail to ship for export or ship to rail for direct transport to Katrineholm.
The logistics company Green Cargo already offers a container shuttle between the Port of Gothenburg and Katrineholm.
