New road construction schedule impacts Miami International
The Florida Department of Transportation said Tuesday it has scheduled a new start date for work on a section of Northwest 25th Street in Miami that serves as a key corridor between Miami International Airport and the warehouse and logistics services companies west of the airport.
Two eastbound inside travel lanes on Northwest 25th Street will be closed during the night from the Palmetto Expressway (SR 826) and Northwest 72nd Avenue from Thursday to about May 27. The lane closures, weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., are needed for a project to relocate existing water mains. The outside eastbound lane will remain open at all times.
The work is being done in preparation for a reconstruction project on Northwest 25th that will begin in early July.
