NOL takes part in security drill aboard containership
NOL Group, parent company of ocean carrier APL, today conducted a three-hour shipboard terrorism response drill with Singapore maritime and security agencies.
The exercise aboard the container vessel “APL Topaz” in the Brani Container Terminal was designed to test the ability of NOL and its security partners to coordinate their efforts and create an integrated command structure in the event of any potential security threat.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore was the overall coordinator for the exercise. Other participating parties included PSA Singapore Terminals, Singapore Police Force, the Ministry of Defence and AETOS Auxiliary Police Force.
