NVOCC alliance expands service offerings to Peru, Ecuador

Non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCC) CaroTrans and Craft Group now offer joint direct container services to the West Coast of South America in addition to their established service offerings to the East Coast of South America.

CaroTrans, a non-vessel operating common carrier (NVOCC) and ocean freight consolidator, is expanding its joint service offering with fellow NVOCC the Craft Group, the company said in a statement.
The partnership will add Peru and Ecuador to their LCL/FCL service portfolio, augmenting their established direct container services between the U.S. and the East Coast of South America. The alliance currently offers services to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay and now adds coverage of the West Coast of South America with Peru and Ecuador.
“The CaroTrans-Craft alliance is strong and getting stronger as we build out our U.S.-South America service network,” said CaroTrans Latin America Trade Development Director Kika Veiga. “We are thrilled to be expanding our relationship with Craft to deliver the same high level of service and support to logistics service providers for Peru and Ecuador shipments. We’re both committed to personalized, first-class service which is critical in today’s ever-changing, volatile container shipping market.”
The CaroTrans-Craft service portfolio includes over 25 direct, weekly U.S.-South America export services from seven gateways, and over 12 South America-U.S. import services, according to the companies. CaroTrans has 14 local offices and 25 container freight stations (CFS) throughout North America for local consolidation and deconsolidation services, while the Craft Group serves the forwarding community via its sales and customer service teams.
