NYK COMBINES ACTIVITIES INTO NYK LOGISTICS (JAPAN)

   Nippon Yusen Kaisha has established NYK Logistics (Japan), an organization that combines NYK’s domestic logistics activities in Japan.

   The new organization will include NYK Line activities and those of nine group subsidiaries: Yusen Kairiku Unyu Kaisha, Ltd.; UNI-X Corp.; Asahi Unyu Kaisha, Ltd.; Yusen Koun Co., Ltd.; Kitakyushu Transportation Co., Ltd.; Yokohama Kyoritsu Warehouse Co., Ltd.; Kinkai Yusen Kaisha, Ltd.; Yusen Fresh Chain Co., Ltd.; and Nippon Container Yuso Co., Ltd.

   The subsidiaries’ businesses cover forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, terminal operations, coastal feeder operations, removals, controlled atmosphere transportation and container transportation on land.

   NYK said it has set up a secretariat for NYK Logistics (Japan) in its Japan logistics team within the Logistics Group.
