NYK ENTERS EUROPE/MONTREAL TRADE
NYK Line is entering the northern Europe/Montreal trade by taking space
on the Maersk Line/P&O Nedlloyd weekly service calling Felixstowe,
Rotterdam, Bremerhaven and Montreal.
A spokesman for NYK said the line will carry Midwest and Canadian
cargoes via the Montreal gateway. NYK will provide the service as a
non-conference operator.
NYK’s entry in this trade follows the withdrawal of Sea-Land, who gave
up its participation in the Maersk/P&O Nedlloyd/Sea-Land Montreal service.
NYK already provides services between northern Europe, Halifax and U.S.
ports.
