NYK LOGISTICS (EUROPE) ACQUIRES TTG-EDAM
NYK Logistics (Europe) Ltd., the logistics division of the Japanese NYK Group, said it has acquired the shares of TTG-Edam B.V., an Amsterdam-based warehousing and distribution company.
TTG-Edam operates a fleet of about 20 trucks for domestic distribution in the Netherlands, including specialized services like home-delivery, in-store delivery and installation services. The company also has an 8,000-square-meter warehouse.
NYK Logistics (Europe) operates more than 400,000 square meters of warehouse space in 11 countries in Europe under the New Wave Logistics name.
The activities of TTG-Edam and New Wave Logistics, which has a 20,000-square-meter facility in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands, will continue to operate separately, although under the same Dutch management.
Michael van Leeuwen will assume daily management of TTG-Edam B.V. as general manager. He will report to Piet Boogaard, director for New Wave Logistics (Nederland) B.V.
