NYK opens vehicle processing center in Shanghai

The Japanese transportation company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NYK Automotive Logistics (China) Co. Ltd., established a new vehicle processing center in Shanghai.

   NYK Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NYK Automotive Logistics (China) Co. Ltd. (NALC), opened a new vehicle processing center (VPC) in Shanghai yesterday, NYK said.
   The new center is located within 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) of a dedicated automobiles terminal.
   A variety of services are provided at the VPC including storage, customs clearance, pre-delivery inspection, sheeting, painting and repairs.
   The new center is managed by NYK Vehicle Processing Service (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (NVPC), which is a joint venture between NALC (75 percent) and Tonglit Logistics Co. Ltd. (25 percent).
   NYK has finished vehicle land-transport services throughout China and car-carrier terminal operations at the country’s ports of Dalian, Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
