Ocean3 adjusts FAL1 service

The Ocean3 Alliance, comprised of ocean carriers CMA CGM, CSCL and UASC, will remove an eastbound Yantian call from its FAL1 service in favor of an eastbound call at Shanghai.

The Ocean3 Alliance, comprised of ocean carriers CMA CGM, CSCL and UASC, is adjusting its weekly FAL1 service, which operates between North Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Asia.
The loop will add an eastbound call at Shanghai, CMA CGM said. However, the French ocean carrier’s online service schedules illustrate this added call will be replacing an eastbound call at Yantian.
Starting Jan. 11 in Southampton with the CMA CGM Kerguelen, the FAL1 will have a rotation of Southampton, Dunkirk, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Khor Fakkan, Shanghai, Xingang, Dalian, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Port Kelang, Algeciras and Southampton.
In addition, the loop increased its rotation time from 12 weeks to 13 weeks, with the Dec. 31 sailing of the CMA CGM Bougainville from Southampton, according to CMA CGM’s online service schedules.
CMA CGM provides all of the vessels on the FAL1, which have an average vessel capacity of 15,925 TEUs, according to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting.
Slot purchasers on the loop include CMA CGM’s subsidiary lines ANL, Delmas and US Lines; Hanjin; Evergreen Line; and FESCO.
However, Evergreen Line does not call Khor Fakkan. In addition, FESCO does not call Khor Fakkan, Dunkirk, or arrivals at Southampton and Le Havre, according to BlueWater Reporting.
