Old Dominion Freight Line, based in Thomasville, N.C., has appointed Dave Bates to senior vice president of operations.
Bates has worked at Old Dominion for more than 15 years, most recently serving as the vice president of the central states region. He replaces Greg Gantt, who was recently appointed to executive vice president and chief operating officer.
