OMI CORP. ACQUIRES VESSEL
OMI Corp. has agreed with Bergesen d.y. ASA to acquire that company's 51-percent interest in their jointly owned company which owns the very large crude carrier “Settebello.”
The acquisition was based on a nominal ship value of $30 million. OMI will pay the purchase price in cash and by issuing 1.5 million shares of its common stock to Bergesen at a price of $5.125.
