OOCL, P&O NEDLLOYD END EAST COAST DEAL WITH NWA
OOCL and P&O Nedlloyd, two shipping lines of the Grand Alliance, are no
longer taking space on the ECS all-water transpacific service operated by the New World
Alliance of APL, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Hyundai.
The ECS service had originally been established by the now-defunct Global
Alliance, to which APL, OOCL and Nedlloyd belonged, and became primarily a New World
Alliance service.
OOCL and P&O Nedlloyd continue to operate two all-water services between
the East Coast of North America and Asia within the Grand Alliance, known as the PAX and
the AEX links.
