OPDR launches short-sea service to U.K., Norway

CMA CGM’s Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR) has introduced a new short-sea liner service that connects Rotterdam to the United Kingdom and Norway, called the PENN service.

   The weekly PENN service links Rotterdam with the United Kingdom’s Immingham, Teesport and Grangemouth ports and the Norwegian ports of Oslo, Moss and Brevik.
   “The Norwegian ports Oslo, Moss and Brevik are connected with Rotterdam in only two and three days, respectively,” OPDR said.
   The PENN service will use two 700-TEU ships, operating with a rotation of Rotterdam, Immingham, Teesport, Grangemouth, Rotterdam, Oslo, Moss, Brevik and Rotterdam.
