Oracle acquires LogFire

LogFire’s cloud-based warehouse management software, which integrated as a partnership with Oracle last year, is intended to complement Oracle’s transportation management software.

Oracle on Tuesday acquired the cloud-based warehouse management systems provider LogFire for an undisclosed amount.
Atlanta-based LogFire’s warehouse, inventory and workforce management tools will be incorporated into Oracle’s Supply Chain Management Cloud suite, providing a complement to Oracle’s existing transportation management and global trade management tools.
The addition of LogFire also supplements Oracle’s strategic shift in recent years toward cloud-based applications. LogFire’s applications fit into Oracle’s model of providing so-called “private cloud” offerings, where the software provider hosts individual databases for each client.
LogFire’s customers include Glad, APL Logistics, Ryder and Sears. The company’s WMS was integrated into Oracle Transportation Management a year ago.
