OVERNITE PLANS RATE INCREASE
Overnite Transportation Co. the Richmond, Va.-based less-than-truckload carrier, will implement a general rate increase averaging 5.5 percent, effective August 14.
The increase is considered the company's annual adjustment for 2000, Overnite said. The increase applies to non-contractual minimum charge, LTL and truckload rates.
