Oxnard Harbor board candidates named
The list of Oxnard Harbor District board candidates looking to fill two open seats was released Wednesday.
The candidates are Arlene Fraser of Port Hueneme; International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 46 President Dan Hultgen; former Oxnard Mayor Manuel Lopez; current four-term board member Jesse Ramirez; and former Port Hueneme Mayor Anthony Volante.
Each submitted papers with county officials to be included on the ballot.
The Oxnard Harbor District is an independent special district of the state the owns and operates the commercial Port of Hueneme.
The five-member board sets policy for the District and its members are elected at large from the district.
