Pacer announces management changes
Freight and logistics company Pacer International announced changes to its executive management team that it said would “further facilitate its ongoing transformation from primarily a wholesale focus to a direct-to-customer integrated services model.”
' Mike Clark will join Pacer as executive vice president, capacity planning. He will coordinate all Pacer capacity requirements including rail, truck, air and ocean working with the respective lines of business. He will also assume responsibility for the highway brokerage and supply chain services groups.
' Val Noel, executive vice president, street operations will assume all intermodal and field operations responsibilities in his new role as executive vice president, field operations.
' Bob Sloan, vice president of yield and network management, will assume responsibility of the network management team in addition to his current responsibilities of yield management and operational reporting.
The company said several executives will leave the company in July and August, including Peter Mettra, Peter Baumhefner, Doug Matthew and Joe Doherty.
