The Sahil Group and Sahil Freight Express will open the 44,000-square-foot packaging and warehousing facility in Mumbai by Sept. 1.
The owners are currently looking for a joint-venture partner to help operate the facility, which is located near the Mumbai and Nhava Sheva ports. In specific the partner should specialize in delivering packaging to customers in India and globally, primarily in the healthcare, automotive, telecommunications and aviation industries, an official said.
The warehouse will offer crating, wrapping, inspection and a range of additional certified packaging operations.
“The market place is seeking a packaging center that meets international best practice and delivers superior quality, and that is the catalyst for this project,” Suhail Shaikh, managing director of the Sahil Group, said in a statement. – Jon Ross
