Panalpina on Schiphol tarmac
Ribar |
Logistics company Panalpina has moved its offices and warehouse in Amsterdam to a new location at the city's Schiphol airport.
The new logistics center features more than 12,000 square meters of space.
'By moving into this building we are the first and only freight forwarding company in Schiphol with direct access to the tarmac,' said Monika Ribar, chief executive officer, in a statement. 'This gives us a considerable competitive advantage. Our experience gained in locations such as Luxembourg and Huntsville, Ala., can be used to the full benefit of our customers. We will be able to eliminate interfaces and carry out all handling activities under our own control, resulting in leaner processes and higher security.'
