Panalpina to handle Samsung’s Panama freight

Panalpina to handle Samsung’s Panama freight

Samsung Panama will use Panalpina to handle most of its full-containerload ocean freight volume in the Asia-Pacific region in 2010, the logistics company said Wednesday.

The Korean electronics maker estimates it will ship 1,500 to 2,000 TEUs with Panalpina during the year. Samsung also awarded Panalpina a three-year extension to a current contract for warehouse operations in the Colon free trade zone. Samsung also contracts with Panalpina to handle direct deliveries from their factories in Asia and North America (including Mexico) to Central and South America.
