PARKER IS APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF MACANDREWS & CO.
CMA CGM has appointed Michael Parker chairman of the board of directors of MacAndrews & Co., its newly-acquired U.K.-based short-sea shipping company.
Parker said that he would work with CMA CGM to develop the MacAndrews intermodal services.
CMA CGM bought MacAndrews & Co. from the British shipping group Andrew Weir, of which Parker is a director. Staff working for MacAndrews & Co. Is also transferring from Andrew Weir. Parker will remain on the board of Andrew Weir.
CMA CGM said that MacAndrews will be an independently managed company within the group.
