PBB OFFERS CANADIAN SHIPPERS INTERNET CUSTOMS TARIFF SEARCH SYSTEM
PBB Global Logistics, a Buffalo, N.Y.-based forwarder and customs broker, has created an Internet-based customs tariff search system for companies shipping goods to Canada.
The online database, found on PBB’s Web site, at http://www.pbb.com , provides information on 28,000 harmonized schedule codes and their corresponding duty rates for shipping to Canada.
“With this new user friendly format, those accustomed to using the printed guide will be very comfortable utilizing the online version,” said John Ferguson, corporate marketing manager for PBB.
The database is searchable by product keyword or code number and includes data on 11 tariff treatments, including shipments covered under the North American Free Trade Agreement, the company said.
