Permit issued for U.S.-Mexico border pipeline

Borrego Crossing plans to export up to 150,000 barrels of petroleum products per day.

   A presidential permit has been issued to Borrego Crossing Pipeline LLC authorizing the construction, connection, operation and maintenance of pipeline facilities at the U.S-Mexico border near Laredo, Texas, for the export of refined petroleum products.
   Those products, according to the Federal Register, consist of gasoline, premium gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel and jet fuels.
   Borrego Crossing Pipeline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Howard Midstream Energy Partners of San Antonio.
   A 20-inch diameter pipeline will transport up to 150,000 barrels of refined petroleum products per day underneath the Rio Grande River.
