Philips picks Kuehne+Nagel in Mexico
The Mexican division of Kuehne+Nagel will manage warehouse and distribution activities for Philips Mexicana S.A., a unit of Royal Philips Electronics.
Under a contract estimated at $30 million, Kuehne+Nagel Mexico will provide 120,000 square feet of storage space in its Mexico City distribution center to Philips for consumer electronics, domestic appliances and lighting. Added-value services include final product configuration, labeling, inspecting returns and verifying package labeling meets government standards.
The Swiss logistics provider said it will control costs by consolidating shipments of Philips products with goods from other clients from the consumer electronics and lighting industry.
