POL BUYS SLOTS ON BOLT SERVICE
Polish Ocean Lines has confirmed that its new slot charter arrangements with BOLT
Canada Line, on its transatlantic service to Montreal, have now completely replaced its
previous weekly slot charter from Atlantic Container Line. The latter gave it access to
Halifax, New York, Baltimore and Norfolk. POL’s contract with ACL expired at the end of
December.
However, POL retains its long-standing slot charter arrangement with Mediterranean
Shipping, continuing to provide once a week sailings to Boston, New York, Norfolk,
Wilmington, N.C., Charleston, New Orleans, and Houston.
