Port Manatee to build warehouse
The Manatee County Port Authority has voted unanimously to authorize design of a 172,478-square-foot warehouse at Port Manatee in Florida.
The port said the warehouse will be the first structure on property adjacent to the new Berth 12 and the third warehouse constructed at the port since 2000 dedicated solely for forestry products.
The port has signed a five-year agreement with Gearbulk Inc. to lease the warehouse under its subsidiary Port Manatee Forestry Terminal Inc.
Once the warehouse is constructed Port Manatee will have more than one million square foot of covered storage space, with Gearbulk leasing approximately 50 percent of that total, the authority said.
