PORT MANCHAC OPENS IN SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
The South Tangipahoa Parish Port Commission has announced that Port Manchac is open for business in Southeast Louisiana.
Port Manchac is located 45 miles north of New Orleans and 75 miles west of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, close to Interstates 12 and 55.
The Port Manchac Distribution Center comprises 28 acres, with two warehouses totaling 50,000 square feet.
“We are also a shallow-water port and have three existing docks to accommodate barge traffic,” said Fred Bullinger, the center’s executive director.
