Port of Houston to advise on Mexican logistics venture
The Port of Houston Authority International Corp. Tuesday signed an agreement under which it will advise Grupo Empresarial Logistik on a venture to develop an intermodal terminal and foreign trade zone in Mexico.
At an initial cost of $115,000, Port of Houston Authority International will help Grupo Empresarial Logistik develop a business plan and identify sources of capital.
The plan would ultimately create “a major logistical corridor between Houston and central Mexico for global manufacturers and retailers,” the port said.
