Port of Philadelphia starts intermodal incentive program

The Philadelphia Regional Port Authority has introduced an intermodal incentive program that will reward ocean carriers with $25 per container moved using the port of Philadelphia’s railroad service. The program is open to both existing and new customers.

The port of Philadelphia is served by three rail carriers, Norfolk Southern, Canadian Pacific and CSX.

In November, Norfolk Southern is opening an intermodal facility at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center, located next to the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal.
