PPG SUBSIDIARY PICKS EXEL FOR GEORGIA FACILITY
PPG Architectural Finishes, Inc., a maker and marketer of paints and stains, has contracted with Exel, a U.K.-based provider of supply chain management services, to build and manage a new PPG warehouse in Fairburn, Ga.
For ten years, Exel has run PPG’s distribution facilities in Harrisburg, Pa., and Fontana, Calif
Under the new contract, Exel will create a 153,138-sq.-ft distribution center at the Southeast Campus in Fairburn by January, 2003. The plan calls for three current centers to be integrated into one larger facility.
PPG Architectural Finishes is a subsidiary of Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries, a provider of commercial and residential paints, fabricated glass and fiberglass products.
