PROVIA INTRODUCES WINDOWS 2000 VERSION OF SOFTWARE
Provia Software, a Chicago-based provider of order-to-delivery supply chain execution solutions, said Friday it has released its ViaWare WMS warehouse management system software for the Windows 2000 platform.
The new product has the same functionality of Provia’s Unix-based software, because the same source code is used for both versions.
Among other tasks, the software can handle “wave building, labor planning, automatic replenishment, cross docking and cluster-batch picking,” said Ken Lewis, president and chief executive officer of Provia.
