PSA, MSC officially open Singapore container terminal joint venture
PSA International and Mediterranean Shipping Co. today officially opened their jointly managed and operated container terminal venture in Singapore.
MSC-PSA Asia Terminal (MPAT), which started operations March 1, occupies three berths at Pasir Panjang Terminal, and is projected to have an annual capacity of more than 2 million TEUs. MPAT is equipped to handle the new generation mega-containerships in excess of 9,000 TEUs.
MSC and PSA already have an existing joint venture, MSC Home Terminal, at the port of Antwerp, Belgium.
