QAIA cargo volumes surge 14.1% in February

Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan handled 7,979 tons of cargo for the month, a 14.1 percent increase from February 2015.

   Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) handled 7,979 tons of cargo in February, a 14.1 percent increase from February 2015, according the Airport International Group, which is responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of the Jordanian airport.
   For the first two months of 2016, cargo volumes surged 12.4 percent from the corresponding period in 2015.
   QAIA was established in 1983 and is located 35 kilometers (21.7 miles) south of the center of Jordan’s capital, Amman.
