Qatar Airways Cargo commences two pharma express routes

The Doha, Qatar-based cargo airline launched two routes this week between India and Qatar, both of which are dedicated to serving the pharmaceutical industry.

   Qatar Airways Cargo launched two new routes from India to its hub in Doha, Qatar this week, which are dedicated to serving the pharmaceutical industry, the airline said.
   The first route, which commenced yesterday, operates from Mumbai, India via Ahmedabad, India to Doha on Tuesdays and Fridays.
   The second route, which commences today, operates from Hyderabad, India to Doha on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
   Both routes provide QR Pharma services, an air freight service for pharmaceutical and healthcare products that offers both active and passive solutions.
   The Indian pharmaceutical market is the largest in the world based on volume and the 13th largest in terms of value, according to an Equitymaster report.
   The cargo airline offers 27 freighter frequencies a week to India, serving seven destinations and providing belly-hold cargo capacity to over 10 destinations in the country.
   Qatar Airways Cargo’s freighter fleet consists of six Airbus 330, eight Boeing 777s and one Boeing 747.
