Quinto named CSCMP president
Mary-Lou Quinto, director of global logistics for Genentech Inc., has succeeded Mark E. Richards as president of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
As the council's first vice president, Quinto became president automatically at the time of the CSCMP's annual business meeting, which was held last week in San Diego. Richards, vice president of Associated Warehouses Inc., became the council's immediate past president, a post he will hold for a year.
CSCMP elected Rick D. Blasgen as first vice president. Blasgen, a supply chain consultant, will become president of the council in October 2006.
CSCMP's membership also elected Edward Huller, president of Alden Consulting Group, as second vice president; and Richard Murphy Jr., as secretary-treasurer. Murphy is president and chief executive officer of Murphy Warehouse Co.
CSCMP, founded in 1963 and formerly known as the Council of Logistics Management, has more than 9,000 members.
